A proposito di prezzo, riposto un interessante articolo uscito su 9to5mac.com che tratta delle voci sempre più insistenti di una versione "economica", voci che finora negli anni si sono dimostrate infondate.

L'articolo apre parlando di "fonti che in passato si sono dimostrate affidabili", premessa che tenderei a prendere con le pinze vista la moltitudine di cose contrastanti che si leggono ogni giorno. Comunque mi sembra che l'analisi sia interessante in alcuni punti, soprattutto alla luce di alcuni temi affrontati in passato in questa discussione.

All of your friends may have an iPhone but only 8% of Americans have ponied up for one. Apple could quadruple its market with a move like this.

Non so quanto sia proponibile un parallelo tra evoluzione degli ipod e possibili scenari sugli iphone, ma credo che Apple prima o poi dovrà affrontare anche gli Android a basso costo: il nodo non è il singolo apparecchio, ma l'ecosistema cui si ricollega. E il prezzo d'ingresso per l'ecosistema Google/Android è decisamente più basso.
