Lo stanno tartassando di domande, ma non si sbottona di una virgola... eppure oramai i tempi per uno sbottonamento ulteriore, sarebbero pure maturi.
...Anyone that is jumping on SB now instead of waiting either:
A. has to buy a system now (vs. wants to buy a system now)
B. is probably predisposed to buy intel anyway and doesn't care about BD
Letting too much detail out now will not help A because of timing and will not help B because of their preference.
An AMD customer that is willing to buy a SB today because they cannot wait a quarter would fall into the A group. So, what business do you pick up?
Meanwhile, lots of potential sales for today of people who aren't interested in buying the fastest processor (i.e. the 95% of the market who are not buying top bin) might wait.
There are a whole lot of people buying x3's and x4's who are probably not going to consider a bulldozer anyway. Being too loud stalls the sales that would have happened (and then they probably end up buying the same x3 next quarter anyway.)
I have been in this business for close to 20 years. You don't want to overhype your product too much because the potential impact to current sales is always larger than whatever you can capture in incremental sales.
