There is a phenomenon which can happen when both USB cable and jackplugs are connected. I have seen that this was already posted in your forumthread, so you know what is meant.
This phenomenon is depending on different factors, just like how your hardware is pluged in, which USB-Port you use, if there is a fan near the soundcard or a cable, if your soundcard is near the fan of the graphic card...there can be lots of reasons for it, and this is not a specific problem of the ROCCAT Kave. You would have this problem with other real 5.1 Headsets as well (5.1 Headsets with 6 real speakers and not virtual sound emulated and transmitted via usb with 2 speakers) when USB and jackplugs are connected at the same time.

Now when on the other hand ONLY the USB plug is connected, and at the same time the jack plugs are hanging in the air, not touching anything (especially not touching leading materials like metal) there should be no noise. If there is noise, the headset could be defective. In that case it can be exchanged at the retailer.

But even in the case of the other customer I am in contact with, I do not know if that is the case, he hasn't told me if he tested it with ONLY USB Plug connected like I just explained to you. I guess he will tell me in his next mail.

Avresti lo stesso problema anche con altri sistemi di cuffie 5.1 (intendo cuffie 5.1 con 6 veri speaker, non emulati virtualmente con 2 speaker pilotati collegati alla porta usb) quando il cavo USB e i cavi audio sono connessi contemporaneamente.

Ora quando SOLO il cavo USB è connesso e, contemporaneamente i cavi audio sono scollegati senza che siano a contatto con niente (specialmente non in contatto con materiali conduttori come il metallo), non ci dovrebbe essere alcun rumore. Se ci fosse rumore, le cuffie potrebbero essere difettose. In quel caso possono essere sostituite dal rivenditore.

Ma anche nel caso dell'altro cliente con cui sono in contatto (immagino si riferisca a Dulas), non capisco se questo è il caso incriminato, non mi ha detto se ha testato collegando SOLO il cavo USB proprio come ti ho spiegato. Immagino me lo dirà nella prossima email.
