Whats In the S:flo2
* Audio player - Yes - it plays music - and damn well too
* Photo viewer - simple and lacking in features
* Video player - Multi-format up to quite high res for most files
* 2 in-built themes to select from
* Calendar - Simple, no appointments or alarms
* EBook reader - Simple text files as always but nicely done
* Stopwatch - Very nice with lap timer to save multiple times at once
* Calculator -works well
* File manager - better implemented than many
* 4 (four) Pre-installed games - actually quite addictive
* External hardware volume wheel - excellent idea - much better than buttons
* Dedicated LINE OUT socket - for clean and clear connection to audio equipment/stereos etc ...
* 2 (two) Wolfson audio chips!!
* Quality amps built in
* Customizable interface with transparency controls and transition animations as well as text and font choices
* Micro SDHC card slot
* Integrates music from SD card to main music database
* Standard MINI USB connector - instead of the bloody awkward one that came with the original s:flo!!!
* Integrates music stored on SDHC cards into the main music database
* SOME MINI FEATURES
o Music pauses when headphones unplugged
o Audio resume for last song playing
o Ebook resume for last book reading
o When screen goes off (back-light) need to press button on front to revive
o Multi task - listen to music while reading or using photo app etc
o Volume can be adjusted no matter where you are in the player (with the wheel)
o The "red eye" - or red light on the button can be turned off completely or set to blink at time intervals
o Resume start for ebook, photo and music - when opening each function it goes immediately to last file you were using rather then to file list
Whats NOT in the s:flo2
* No Radio - Nope, no radio in this player
* No FM Transmitter - not in here although you can by external ones if needed
* No Voice recorder - im sure this thing has a MIC but no app to use
* No TV-Out - no tv out (no matter what other sites may say)
* Not a High Res Screen - its not a high res screen but thats not a problem for the player - its damn fine enough
* No External NEXT and PREV controls - only the scroll volume is available
* Not add any games or apps - you can only use whats pre-installed im afraid
* No Clock -Does not have clock or time on the interface
* Not set custom wallpapers At the moment (15th Dec) you can not set own desktop image
* Not use TTF fonts - Unlike other 28 series players this does not use TTF fonts - so cant be changed
* No built in speaker
* No physical lock button on the player to lock screen - this is a pain
* No gapless playback
* No album art for FLAC APE and OGG (general rockchip fail)
* No accelerometer like ipod etc
The BUG list
This bug list is based on the latest nationite s:flo firmware, version 1.20 - as updates are made available (and they will be so dont worry if this list looks bad) i will mark off whats done/fixed and make a new bug-list per firmware (if needed)
* GENERAL PLAYER BUGS
o No manual screen locking or screen turn off (have to wait for time out) - i think this is a big bug
o Menu sliding is not as smooth as it should be - needs speeding up and linetic scrolling like the original s:flo
o Random locking of the player (like right now as i was exiting the USER EQ function, music stopped and screen frozen and mangled)
* MUSIC PLAYER BUGS
o PlayFX EQ setting can not be applied to FLAC files
o Does not recognize WMA ALBUM tag when sorting music and does not list them in the database
o Does not display WMA album name when in music player
o Album art not displaying for all songs even though all have album art (MP3) - random UPDATE - we now know MP3 above 4MB wont show art, below 4MB will show art
o Album art not displaying at all for WMA
o Song listing in music database is based on time copied to player and not alphabetical or by TAG ID track number (so even the old track num at front does not work)
o Music Library updates every time you press ALBUM, ARTIST or TITLE categories
o Time slider for song is not smooth at all (original sflo was excellent) - UPDATE - this has got better now after use and is not that bad at all
o Slider for setting user EQ are also sticky making hard to slide the sliders
o TITLE category in music database is a waste of time??? - its just another ALL SONGS list using SONG TITLE from ID tags???!!!***!!"
o Lyric files not showing for WMA (MP3??)
o Occasional break up of the UI when navigating the music UI
o Adding to playlist is really awkward (having to select a song by slide and release to highlight it)
o In music interface it displays the song name using the filename and not the tag name and is crammed in a small place making most hard to read
* VIDEO PLAYER BUGS
o Sometimes player will lock up on files it cant player - need to reset player
o Screen ripping on the video player (may be hardware related but would like to know from factory if can be fixed in firmware settings)
o Exiting a video returns you to the root of the player folder and not to list you were on, meaning you need to re-navigate to where you were
* PHOTO APP BUGS
o Photo thumbs are squashed rather than cropped (making them look odd)
o Generation of photo thumbs is slow and redraws every time making whole photo app slow
o Switching between THUMB view and LIST view in image viewer goes back to main folder list rather than re-listing current view
* EBOOK BUGS
o When expanding to full screen, your place is lost in the book, it kinda shifts the text so you lose position and flow

5) No tasti esterni per andare avanti o indietro (mi avrebbero fatto comodo)
2) Uscita audio dedicata per collegarlo "all'impianto"

) porta consiglio
