Mah, 4x4 alla fine non è una stanza piccolissima..Dipende da molte cose, tipo che casse sono, che tipo di "watt" sono (RMS, spero), e poi anche dal volume a cui vuoi (e soprattutto PUOI) tenere la musica.
In linea generale direi che 40watt RMS non mi sembrano tanto sprecati..
