Hello, I have bought my q800 mainly because I have a lot of old VHS Tapes and I want to transfer all that treasure to a digital support before it gets too old..
I have firmware 3.76 in my q800
I have some troubles some old footage recorded from TV cannot be transferred, after a few minutes the Q800 stops and sends the "copy protected" message.
Sincerely I'm surprised and disappointed by that, I have no piracy intention, I just want to save some tape recordings I made twenty or thirty years ago for my own possession, I think everyone would like to do that!
Is there a way to overcome this problem? If I knew about this limitation, I simply did not buy the Q800.. I did not find any warning regarding this limitation in any forum, even in the Emtec support site, nobody seems to know about that or how to work it out,
is it possible it happens to me only?

I have searched on google and found several things about copy protection but in all case movie cube will not remove this protection.

bella no? un uomo del supporto emtec che ti risponde che "ha cercato su google" i vari schemi di protezione, ed in ogni caso il q800 non li rimuoverà... a questo punto mi chiedo se il mio inglese è tanto balordo da essere frainteso, oppure è lui che fa finta di non aver capito cosa gli ho chiesto..
sono sempre più scontento dell'acquisto, il disinteresse che questo argomento genera mi fa intuire che non ci sarà nessuno che a breve termine risolverà questa storia magari tramite hacking.. quindi.. ho quasi deciso che lo venderò--
