First, is the NIC..
correctly listed in Device Manager? Make sure that is not Disabled. If it is listed, try to uninstall it and reinstall it.
Is the TCP/IP protocol installed? If yes, try to uninstall it and reinstall it.
If you still receive the 679 Code, it coluld be the NIC driver or the NIC itself defective.
