Da un forum inglese un utente/rivenditore aveva contattato il produttore:

I am a software engineer for China Phone, just want to tell you guys the truth is, you will not able to upgrade the filmware with your USB Cable before of the following issues:
1) China phone normallyt need special equipment to upload/download the job, such as MTK Box, infinity etc.
2) I have checked the pinout of Hiphone, seems they don't have TX/RX pin which mean that it cannot communicated with the CPU directly, therefore you need to open the phone and use the PCB test point in order to load new firmware.
3) the CPU using in this phone is Spreadtrum, not MTK, the firmware decoding software is not exist yet, therefore even we have special equipment we are still not able to upload/download the v1.2 from / into the phone.
Therefore, if someone ebay seller tell you that they can give you a software to upgrade your Hiphone with your USB cable, they are telling LIE to you, they just want to keep you waiting until 60 days of purchase so that you cannot file to the paypal complaint!
Hope the above informaitons could help you guys to understand the truth and not get playing around by the bad seller.

WIFI cinese non ho ancora trovato qualche utente che avesse un modello funzionante.....
Per il
DAXIAN X999 un utente del forum lo aveva ma non riusciva a far funzionare Activesync (credo gli mancassero i driver).
In sostanza se usati come semplici telefoni questi cinafonini non sono male, certo è che se cominciamo a volere usare altre funzioni (gps, wi-fi, navigazione web, java, installazione programmi...) salgono di prezzo e quindi secondo me perdono di appetibilità per la mancanza di supporto e di affidabilità con telefoni di marca. Mi spiego se il T32 full-optional (GPS+WIFI) venisse fuori ad un prezzo di 300/350 euro .... lo comprereste, visto che ormai con 400 ti compri un Apple Iphone ?
