Non sono d'accordo al 100%. Ad esempio dpreview sostiene che:

e sulla comparazione tra la 710 (7mpx) e la 720(8mpx) a 400 ISO:

Non sono sicuro che un sensore da 6 megapixel produrrebbe molto più dettaglio di uno da 10 megapixel a sensibilità più alte. Sicuramente a basse sensibilità non è così, e chi compra una compatta quando c'è poca luce usa il flash.
