Occhio però: qui non si sta dicendo che giochi come Cooking Mama non siano divertenti. Questo dipende dai gusti dell'utente, e non avrebbe venduto così tanto se in tanti non l'avessero trovato divertente.
Quello che però Edge fa notare è che giochi come Mario Galaxy o Bioshock, al di là del divertimento che danno, hanno anche un valore artistico che Cooking Mama non avrà mai. Un mercato dominato dai titoli "casual" (eventualità tutt'altro che certa, è bene ricordarlo) sarebbe un mercato dominato da giochi semplici e leggeri, ma anche vuoti e superficiali.
