vabbè oltre a leggere le news dobbiamo pure fare i compiti a casa per capirci qualcosa
We heard about an upcoming GPU from NVIDIA on 256-bit memory interface earlier this month and we thought it is the rumored 256-bit version of G84. Now we learned that it is actually the next generation G92, a 65nm performance part supporting PCI Express 2.0, 256-bit memory interface, 50GT/s texture fill rate, Pure Video Gen 3, HDMI and DisplayPort.
G92 performance lies between GeForce 8800 GTS and 8600 GTS so it is not the highest end GPU from the G9x series yet.
It is meant to compete against the RV670.
There might be a G90 which we haven't heard about yet and NVIDIA gave clues that their next generation GPU will deliver close to 1 TFlops of performance in a recent analyst conference. G9x could support Double Precision FP too. Sampling will start in September and slated for launch in 12 November.
HKEPC revealed that G92 will be launched on November 12th and will replace the current GeForce 8800 GTS series. It is meant to compete against the RV670 while the low end G98 will compete against the RV620. However, launch date for G98 has not firmed up yet. G92 supports PCI Express 2.0, 50GT/s texture fill rate, Pure Video Gen 3, HDMI and uses display port. G92 will still be named under GeForce 8 family.
In pratica è il rimpiazzo della 8800GTS, tipo 8900 GT.
12 Novembre.
Ci sarà anche G90, rimpiazzo della 8800GTX, ma per Natale, se non dopo

in pratica è la scheda che mancava tra la 8600gts e la 8800gts320.
