In parole povere, l'hyperthreading ha bisogno di software preparato apposta, altrimenti va più piano di una cpu in funzionamento normale. Intel ha imboccato la strada del "devono essere gli sviluppatori ad adattarsi ai miei processori a legna", e non mi sembra una strada in discesa, anzi... Per questo è lecito dubitare che l'hyperthreading possa essere un vantaggio reale del pentium4 nei confronti dei processori di punta amd.
