1. Download the SLAX ISO
2. Download the HP USB tool and format your stick with the tool using the FAT option (quick format is fine)
3. Open your Slax ISO using winrar. Extract the files from the ISO to your USB stick.
4. Open the boot directory on the USB stick and move the files within to the root of the USB stick.
5. Download and extract syslinux.zip to a directory on your computer.
6. Run the command prompt in windows (start/run/cmd) and CD to the syslinux directory. Once there simply type syslinux.exe F: (F: being the example drive letter of the USB stick in this system)
7. Download the syslinux.rar file and extract the syslinux.cfg to your USB stick.
8. Reboot your PC and go into your system BIOS and set your boot order to boot from any selectable USB device. (example USB-HDD or USB-ZIP)
9. Save your BIOS settings. On the next reboot, you should have a sucessful launch of your USB Linux compilation.

la partizione primaria attiva della pennetta deve avere un MBR?? se si come lo si crea senza quel tool della HP ???

non ho capito esattamente cosa intende: intende forse che bisogna spostare tutti i files contenuti nelle cartelle
estratte nella radice della pennetta spostandoli direttamente da dentro queste cartelle dove sono a "fuori" in radice ???
ah, gli eventuali add-on tipo firefox openofficce etc dove vanno messi??
ma va bene anche l'ultima versione ISO cd normale di slax
la 5.1.8 ??? o per forza bisogna usare la 5.1.7b indicata ?
