The .albm extension was used in HP Director version 1.0 and possibly 2.0. 1.0 was supplied with devices such as the Photosmart 7550 and other printers of that time. Unfortunately later versions of Director no longer seem to support this filetype. I currently have the same problem but still have the individual images that make up the album so will recreate with an alternative product. If you need to open the .albm and do not have the original images you will need to obtain the older software - it available from HP but not for download.
