Alla fine ho lasciato la gestione al sistema, recuperavo si 1 GB, ma il tutto diventava più lento già dall’avvio.
Si vive con 3.5 GB liberi poi in futuro si vedrà

ho un piccolo problema con un aggiornamento che mi viene proposto da windows update su win 10 22H2.
l'aggiornamento in questione è "Nvidia - Display - 31.0.153623" che da facoltativo è diventato "obbligatorio".
Io ho abilitato gli aggiornamenti manuali e siccome non volevo installare tale aggiornamento ora, ma magari più avanti, ho usato il TOOL della Microsoft per nascondere gli aggiornamenti problematici. Purtroppo anche dopo l'uso dell utility l'aggiornamento si ripresenta in Windows update. La cosa curiosa è che il TOOL dopo aver nascosto tale aggiornamento non lo vede più. Quindi cosa posso fare affinchè non me lo installi? Grazie.

EDIT: dopo un paio di giorni l'aggiornamento in questione è scomparso da solo.

Praticamente a parte il backup dei files su OneDrive (per spingerti a comprare un abbonamento Office 365, praticamente obbligatorio se si attiva quella funzione), il resto sono cose che già Win8 faceva di suo: preservava menu e app installate nello Start Menù, personalizzazioni, password. Ovviamente se accedevi con account Microsoft, beninteso.
Niente di nuovo, onestamente.
D'altro canto OneDrive stesso già prevede di farti il backup automatico di certe cartelle (Doc, Desktop, etc.) dunque, davvero, questa app è un frontend di cose che già esistono da anni. Niente di nuovo.

E invece la creazione di immagini di sistema.. quella è rimasta ancora chiamata "Backup per Windows 7" scommetto..

Da ieri il mio Windows update mi propone il seguente aggiornamento:

Credo sia il firmware della mia scheda madre.
Ma perchè me lo fa come obbligatorio? Io non vorrei farlo.

Non è un aggiornamento obbligatorio ma facoltativo. Non serve installarlo, quelle modifiche verranno inserite nel prossimo cumulativo obbligatorio di settembre.

Per cui dovrai iniziare a preoccuparti solo se non riceverai il cumulativo obbligatorio, per il momento puoi ringraziare Microsoft di non averti esposto al rischio di qualche fastidioso bug inevitabilmente presente anche negli aggiornamenti facoltativi.

Prova ad usare il vecchio tool "Show or hide updates" di Microsoft stessa. Una guida con immagini:

Signori rinfrescatemi la memoria: allora W10 non riceverà più aggiornamenti grossi, quindi il 23h3 e futuri usciranno solo su W11 esatto?

senza entrare nel merito della licenza, per cui 2 pc = 2 licenze diverse, la clonazione dovrebbe essere possibilie, confidando nella bontà di windows di riuscire ad avviarsi e a installare in autonomia i driver che gli occorrono, sperando che i driver installati non interferiscano. conviene provare, ma preparandosi al peggio, cioè alla reinstallazione in caso di problemi random. ti va di lusso che si parla di piattaforme su base intel, ma essendo aio, i produttori amano fare schede madri su misura, con qualche specificità di marca, controller dedicato, etc etc

Intendo fare il backup del Lenovo e ripristinarlo pari pari sul Dell.
In seguito il Lenovo sarà ripristinato ex-novo.

Che può essere impiegato per preparare una installazione di Windows ad essere cambiata di PC per semplificare, e questo fin da NT4 che mi ricordi. Poi alcuni programmi di backup e clonazione, esempi Macrium Reflect, Acronis True Image, Aomei Backupper ecc. nelle loro versioni a pagamento hanno avuto una funzionalità analoga, cioè consentire di ripristinare il backup su hardware molto diverso dall'originale. E funzionato anche abbastanza bene, almeno posso dirlo per Acronis e Macrium.

Il punto è che Windows da 10 in poi sta mostrandosi di suo capace di adattarsi più dei precedenti al cambio sostanzioso di hardware, anche al semplice trasferimento di un disco da un PC ad un altro con Hardware profondamente diverso, quindi si può tentare e vedere se anche nel tuo caso il sistema operativo riesce ad adattarsi al nuovo hardware senza smanettare eccessivamente.

Salve, sto cercando una iso di Windows 10 LTSC 1809 ita o eng da fonte affidabile, allo scopo di sistemare alcuni PC per poi dimenticarmene fino al 2029 :D
Ho visto che ci sono delle iso su archive.org però non ho potuto trovare un elenco di hash per poter verificare che non siano iso alterate. Qualcuno può nel caso indirizzarmi verso una iso sicura o dirmi se quelle di archive.org lo siano? Grazie mille. :)

Dubito che la reinstallazione "in place" di Windows sia l'operazione più adatta al tuo contesto. È una sorta di ripristino del sistema operativo che mantiene programmi e file degli utenti. I virus sono anche loro programmi e file...

...non mi chiede più utente/password quando "eseguo come amministratore"...

devo fare "esegui come altro utente" per richiedere le credenziali....
