ipotesi:
  • Milano: ormai la domanda è stabilizzata da un sacco di tempo
  • Bologna: ha avuto in passato la sua bella carenza, ma poi hanno migliorato l'infrastruttura
  • Torino: ormai si vedono operai Metroweb in tutta la città, in alcuni posti a mettere le predisposizioni, in altri posti a mettere le fibre verie e proprie, boom di attivazioni e carenza di infrastruttura... ci sorbiremo qualche mese "alla Bologna" in attesa che migliorino i loro link interni?

allora, da linuxmint singola sessione (usando Explorer) 8MB+ al secondo quindi circa 70-80mbit

da kubuntu uguale, 8MB quasi fissi, se scarico 2 iso 16MB/s in totale

speedtest vanno tutti a 291 fisso, quindi di cose strane da parte mia non ce ne sono

nì... appena attivata con il download singolo arrivavo a 480 megabit... quindi qualcosa che non va c'è anche da te... con limiti più alti ovviamente...

per "sicurezza" ho provato Microsoft Edge, idem, connessione singola 8 megabit/s... speedtest invece tutti a 500 megabit

qua a Torino sarà più "critica" la situazione

La butto lì, prova ad usare una live distro di Linux e avviare il download da lì, mi ricordo qualche policy di Windows che poteva ridurre banda ... Fammi sapere poi!

so che non ci va moltissimo ma... sinceramente non ho voglia :stordita:

cd non ne ho più, e chiavette libere da formattare neanche... cmq dubito seriamente che windows limiti la banda dei download HTTP solo su alcuni siti... (e su altri no)

purtroppo non ho una distribuzione Linux installata da nessuna parte attualmente...

cmq ci sono vari motivi per dire che non è un problema di Windows:
  • appena avevo attivato non c'era tale lentezza
  • il cap è diverso in base agli orari
  • allo stesso orario, io in FTTH avevo il cap, altro utente in FTTC non aveva il cap
  • il cap era presente anche a Bologna, ma ora non risulta più, mentre qua permane
  • col p2p non c'è nessun cap

Mi ricordo di un utente che posto una guida proprio perché su singola connessione per qualche motivo Windows tagliava la banda, mi pare che fosse riferita a Windows 7 (magari un update potrebbe averti introdotto questa situazione) ...

La mia esperienza:
FTTH da Milano, fino a una settimana fa usando IDM da easyb. scaricavo fisso a 66,1 MB (Bytes!).
Ora in nottata sono sceso a circa 30MB, di giorno sono attorno ai 15 MB, non cambia nulla come velocità max se uso 4 o 8 connessioni in parallelo.
Ovviamente con speedtest (anche con quello di eolo) risulto sempre fisso sui 505 Mbit / 19,3 Mbit.

riavviato VSR e ONU...

ora singolo download di kubuntu va a circa 400 megabit...

quindi il problema era o la VSR o l'ONU (o l'indirizzo IP)

per riferimento mi avevano consigliato di testare i driver nvidia, anche quelli download che prima era a 8 megabit, ora va a 330 megabit...

secondo me il maggior indiziato è la VSR, che di problemini ne ha anche più di uno... mi sa che di tanto in tanto è meglio riavviarla

Grazie, ero curioso dei risultati... Comunque fra due di voi non credo abbia senso... Il massimo che raggiungereste è 20 mbit.

per quanto superficiale e semplicistico, è un'affermazione derivata da prova empirica... prima del riavvio 10 megabit, dopo il riavvio più di 300-400 megabit...

Questa mattina sono venuti i tecnici e mi hanno installato la fibra vodafone ma dai test che sto facendo ora non riesco a superare i 250 mbps pur avendo sottoscritto un contratto per Super Fibra Family New 500 mega.
Per collegarmi ho diviso la banda della station e mi collego a quella 5ghz e ho un adattatore wifi AC 1900 che teoricamente può reggere oltre i 1000 mbps..

Secondo voi è possibile che l'aumento ai 500 mbps venga fatto in un secondo momento visto che sul sito la mia pratica risulta ancora "in attivazione" (anche se il tecnico ha detto che potevamo già usarla..) ? o mi tocca già chiamare il 190... ?

Conoscendo la qualità delle vodafone station io ringrazierei di fare 250 in wifi...

Quelle velocità le puoi sfruttare solo via ethernet..

Io oggi ho verificato che l'IP non c'entra. Come sempre dopo qualche settimana di uptime il tutto è diventato lento e scaricavo a non più di due o tre megabyte al secondo (i soliti kubuntu, ecc).

Riavvio "hard" (staccando e riattaccando l'alimentazione) di VSR e ONT e ho riguadagnato banda piena, ma stranamente (in realtà ogni tanto succede) l'IP è rimasto lo stesso.
