Mi mancano i sensori per gdesklets ??

Debian Sarge con, ovviamente, gnome.
instaltate gdesklets e gdesklets-data.

3 su 4 delle desklets non mi vanno perchè "mancano sensori"(?). Soprattutto mi interessavano quelle per uso cpu, memoria e capienza-"salute" HD.
Cos'è che devo installare ancora ??

La mia procedura standard per trovare un pacchetto:
'$apt-cache search "nome_pacchetto"
Se trovo quello che mi interessa:
'$apt-get install "nome_pacchetto_completo"'
Se non trovo quello che mi interessa:
http://www.apt-get.org e cerco il pacchetto che mi interessa.
Se trovo un repository col pacchetto lo aggiungo al mio sources.list, faccio apt-get update e riparto col apt-get install...
Se non lo trovo vado sul sito degli sviluppatori, scarico i source del pacchetto e configure->make->make install, ovviamente risolvendo prima le dipendenze.

Magari ti avrò detto qualcosa di scontato, e in questo caso scusami tanto, ma se non trovi il pacchetto ho l'impressione che tu non abbia tentato proprio "di tutto" per trovarlo...

Non devi scusarti! :) Come hai detto tu, non mi sono ingegnato per trovare il pacchetto ma solo perchè sono a lavoro ed il problema delle gdesklets riguarda il mio pc di casa :D ..
Fossi stato a casa, mi sarei sforzato di più, come ho sempre fatto! Un'altra cosa, non conoscevo questo sito http://www.apt-get.org :) Comunque ti ringrazio per il suggerimento! :)

Dunque la versione experimental di debian è una versione ancora più immatura di sid, e monta pacchetti nuovissimi ma praticamente non testati. Il nome è un chiaro riferimento al fatto che siano pacchetti per chi "sperimenta".

Ora, puoi usare quel rep per scaricare il pacchetto in questione, ma magari puoi provare con una versione meno recente di libgtop ma pìù stabile. La versione 2-5 è quella che veniva fuori a me cercando sui miei repository che poi sono praticamente solo quelli di sid e nerim... magari controlla di aver inserito correttamente i repository di sid confrontandoli con la discussione sul Debian Clan... ;)

Prima avevo lanciato il comando apt-cache search libgtop2-5 sul pc in ufficio...direte...mbeh? :D Qui in ufficio ho sarge e non sid :doh: me ne dimentico sempre..credo che non mi trovi nulla proprio per questo motivo :D

Libgtop2-5 è già installata! Se non ricordo male, è stasta installata proprio insieme a gdesklets
