UPS Elsist

Ho un UPS Elsist Lily 800, ma ha un piccolissiiiimo problema: e' sprovvisto di software e l'azienda di cui sopra non risponde alle mail (ne avro' gia' mandate 4, ma non ho ricevuto neppure un vaf*beeep* :muro: )!
Chi me l'ha venduto non ha la piu' pallida idea di come procurarsi il suddetto programma e l'unico sito su cui l'ho visto, lo vende a soli 25 € :cry:
Allora ho pensato: proviamo a usare il software integrato in Windows 2000... ma come devo impostarlo? Polarita' positiva o negativa? E' compatibile con qualcuno degli UPS nella lista? :confused:

depends on your particular UPS model. Your UPS sends a signal with positive polarity when the power fails and the UPS is running on battery. Select Negative if your UPS sends a signal with negative polarity.

You should read the UPS documentation before you configure signal polarity.
You could lose valuable data. Use a spare computer for the test.

In Control Panel, double-click Power Options, click the UPS tab and then click Select. Click the arrow at the right side of the 'Select manufacturer' list box and select Generic. Click 'Custom' to select it and then click Next.

In the UPS Interface dialog box, select the item that matches your UPS and click Finish. It may or may not work!

Per risolto non ho risolto... o meglio, alla fine hanno risposto alle mie mail e mi hanno dato un numero di telefono da contattare per avere informazioni sul piu' vicino rivenditore provvisto del pacchetto software/cavo (di nome SAFENET)!
Al momento non l'ho ancora fatto perche', sempre a detta loro, sembra che questo mio UPS sia difettoso (e beh, 35' di uptime puzzano di difetto... o fregatura), quindi devo rimandarglielo indietro per il controllo/riparazione! Solo che vogliono pure un corriere preciso che ovviamente e' lontano da casa mia... boh, devo valutare il da farsi!
