View Full Version : msi kt3 ultra.. ovvero la tomba dell'upgrade! :D no supporto per barton :|

vorrei cambiare cpu (magari un athlon xp mobile :D )
ma leggendo sul sito msi, sembra proprio che questa mobo sia la tomba dell'upgrade :D :cry: :cry:

non mi importa di usare un barton a 400 di bus, anche a 333 andrebbe più veloce del mio palomino 2000+ :)

Per i Barton/Thorton è un problema di riconoscimento del Bios, mentre per i Thoro-B è una questione di bus. Se non sbaglio il KT333 è certificato per andare a 266Mhz, ma alcune versioni mantenevano le frequenze PCI/AGP anche a 333Mhz. Quindi l'ideale è prendere un 1700+/1800+ sbloccato, ovviamente con core Thoro-B.

it will run all of them, but since the KT333 doesn't officially support a
166MHz FSB, MSI won't list a barton as being compatable.

MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU mit 2500 Barton!
Hallo!

An alle die, die das oben genannte Mainboard haben und eventuell Nachrüsten wollen. Da ich selbst verzweifelt gesucht habe,
ob Barton auf diesen Board läuft und nichts fand. Hab ich es einfach ausprobiert!
Und es hat funktioniert!!!
BIOS ver. 5.7, FSB: 166 Mhz ohne Probleme wurde die CPU beim ersten booten erkannt.
Leider hab ich eine CPU bei der der Multi fest ist aber per FSB (181Mhz) lässt sich dennoch was rausholen.
Na denn, ich hoffe ich konnte manch einen weiter helfen.

Esatto, i Sempron sono dei Thoro-B con bus a 333Mhz. Al limite o prendi un Sempron oppure cerchi sul mercatino qualche CPU (1700+ e 1800+ sono le più fortunate) che arrivi a 2200Mhz.

spenderei poco meno di un sempron 2200 :p

se posso montarlo sono a cavallo :D
