ciao a tutti!
Per tutti coloro i quali hanno acquistato questo modello:

ho notato che c'è un'uscita digitale audio,ma è in 5.1 o stereo?

se è in 5.1 come posso collegarci un decoder audio 5.1 che ha l'ingresso digitale,ma è diversa la forma del buco?
in altre parole,che cavo dovrei usare?

ah un'altra cosa:
posso disinstallare asus liveupdate o è uno di quei programmi diciamo fondamentali?
tanto non riesce a stabilire una connessione al server ftp...nn so se è un bug, cmq nn mi funziona...

Allora... visto che il connettore spdif montato è lo stesso delle cuffie e il manuale lo definisce "combo" potrebbe essere elettro-ottico tipo quello mac
The audio output connector on the iMac G5 is a 3.5mm electrical/optical combination (“combo”) jack. The combo jack accepts standard electrical audio cables with a 3.5 mm stereo plug, and standard TOSLink optical cables that have a 3.5 mm optical plug. Typically, TOSLink optical cables are available with standard friction-lock type F-05 plugs on each end. Adapters are available that attach to the F-05 plug and convert it to a 3.5 mm optical plug. TOSLink cables are available from pro-audio, musician’s supply, hi-fi and other retailers. Cioè serve un adattatore per infilarci il toslink (la fibra ottica, non il coassiale)

Il liveupdate toglilo pure... 3 mobo asus possedute + questo portatile, imho non serve fa solo casino... gli aggiornamenti falli a manina che è meglio! :D

per la precisione, cerca con google TOSLINK -> MINIPLUG sembra proprio lui quello che cerchi ;) (vedo che costa tra i 6 e i 20€ :eek: secondo i negozi)

Io penso di sì... qui http://ynot2k.com/phpbb/nfphpbb/viewtopic.php?t=84&start=0& parlano del modello Z71V che secondo me è parente molto stretto del nostro, non penso che asus abbia millemila linee produttive :D
Leggi un po' le conclusioni

I actually just finished testing it with my DVD copy of "Spaceballs" and was able to use this cable [quello che ti dicevo io :) ] to send multi-channel audio from my laptop to my home theater receiver. When using this type of cable, if you have the cable installed correctly and the SPDIF option is enabled everywhere that it needs to be, you'll then see a red light coming out of the other end of the cable.
As I had figured, there must be some sort of sensor inside the jack that deactivates the red light whenever there isn't something already inserted into the jack... must likely done in order to prevent people from looking directly into the jack and looking at the light, which I'm told can damage the eyes.

Cmq l'adattatore (senza il cavo ottico), se hai già l'impianto 5.1 non è una spesa folle al limite lo rivendi :p
