MSI Neo4 Platinum 54G e Zalman CNS7000B CU

Dopo aver acquistato online la mobo ed il dissi, ho realizzato che su questa mb non è possibile utilizzare il kit di fissaggio fornito col dissipatore perchè la mainboard ha una piastra saldamente incollata sul retro, impossibile da rimuovere, ed un supporto in plastica per il dissi con appoggi di altezza maggiore del kit Zalman.
Mi toccherà fare una delicata modifica al supporto della mobo con il Dremel per utilizzare lo Zalman, eppure, prima di fare gli acquisti avevo controllato sul sito Zalman che la mobo fosse tra quelle compatibili.
Ma alla Zalman hanno mai visto una Neo4 Platinum o scrivono semplicemente delle castronerie?

Sicuro che sia impossibile da rimuovere? Io ho una K8N neo2 e con un po di forza è venuto via e ci ho messo quello dello Zalman.

Ho lamentato la cosa scrivendo direttamente alla Zalman che mi ha risposto in un tempo brevissimo fornendomi le istruzioni per rimuovere il supporto originale in vari modi.
Certo che può essere utile a chi volesse acquistare una MSI NEO4, riporto il testo integrale della email ricevuta dalla Zalman.

To remove the back plate of your motherboard, here are the little instructions that you may follow.
You have to remove the motherboard, turn it over, put it on a firm surface (make sure you're grounded) and basically pry the existing backplate away. It comes away quite easily; DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE. try using a credit card or something similar to lever it off.
Above method is a swift way. Another way we prefer is to put the motherboard on the floor with its bottom side down without touching the floor for half a day. Then, sticking force of the backplate becomes so weak that user can easily detach the backplate with his hand.
The other way is simply melting the existing glue of the backplate with a hair dryer. Just warm up the backplate for about 1 minute,and it will come off quite easily!
If you follow the instructions as we mentioned above, it will be easy for you to take your back plate off.

E' vero, il backplate è fissato molto bene,
cmq. con molta pazienza e senza esercitare eccessivi sforzi ce la farai anche tu.
Ti sconsiglio di fare modifiche.

Seguendo le indicazioni della Zalman, ho rimosso il backplate originale senza forzare eccessivamente, utilizzando un asciugacapelli (non al massimo della temperatura) ed una scheda tipo carta di credito.
p.s. - è una scheda fantastica, non vedo l'ora di provarla non appena mi arriva la 6600GT PCX.
