A7M266 e cpu supportate

Ragazzi volevo sapere sulle cpu supportate dalla mia asus A7M266 con bus a 266 MHz.......
con l'ultimo bios ufficiale ovvere il 1007 sul sito c'è scritto ke supporta fino all'Xp 2100 con core palomino
xo' ho sentito dire e letto su altri forum ke con l'ultimo bios beta e cioè il 1008_02b la skeda madre puo supportare fino al 2400 anke con core Thoroughbred........mi sapete dare maggiori info???qualkuno possiede questa skeda e con che cpu sopra???

Trats....it has been a while since I crossed paths with you. I still run(18 months) an A7M266 at 2.2Ghz using an XP2600 and your wire trick. Outside of replacing my junk (no name) memory recently with Kingston everything on this system runs perfectly. An interesting side note though is the Sandra memory benchmarking tests show poor results everythingelse is great comp at the xp3000 level. I think the issue with the mem test is the outdated nature of the AMD760 chipset.

Will this new BIOS mod provide any benefit to me on the system noted below, if so what? Also is there any benefit to the L12 wire trick on my system?

ma il sempron bloccato è FSB 166 la tua arriva a 133
quindi nn credo vada

si lo so, ma almeno dovrebbe leggere un xp 2400 con bus a 266...........
cmq x fargli leggere i TB ci sono delle operazioni da fare mi sembra col bios beta...........come skritto qui:

The problem with the A7M266 and the XP 2200+ is in the bios. You need to use beta bios version 1008.02b.

I have my system up and running with this bios, and so far no problems. However, it is not totally clean. For one thing, you have to run in jumper mode (not jumperless).

Here are the steps to get there:

1.) Get beta bios 1008.02b from Asus.
2.) Flash your bios with this version before installing the 2200 chip.
3.) Power down, power backup and load setup defaults. Set slew rate to 1.
(Note: The bios may report 0 Mhz as your CPU speed. This is ok, just a bug in the bios).
4.) Power down, unplug unit, take out old CPU chip.
5.) Install 2200+ chip. Change the mobo to jumper (if it isn't already that way. It won't work if you are in jumperless mode)
6.) Set freq to 133mHz, voltage to 1.8V.
7.) Reconnect power, start up the machine.

You will now have a much faster running system!

Io ho installato, da più di un anno, un AMD 2000+ xp con core Thoro con il BIOS 1007.
Secondo me potevo anche salir ancora un pò in frequenza.
Per quanto riguardo i palomino puoi provare su ebay.
