Serve ad attivare il bus disconnect della cpu quando non esegue compiti, bisogna vedere però come impostare i valori richiesti avviando l'eseguibile del programma, guardando la tabella a questo link: http://cbid.amdclub.ru/html/clkctl.html

il programma risiede nella tray bar, vicino l'orologio, se si attiva la sua icona diventa verde altrimenti disattivata è rossa, ha inoltre nell'ultima versione qui indicata, un rilevamento della temperatura dei sensori cpu, hd, chipset (se ci sono...) sulla mia cpu desktop che poi è un xp-mobile, mi permette di scendere a circa 30 gradi da circa 48 -in idle- ma se il processore è al 100% ovviamente non abilita il bus disconnect e le temperature saranno cmq piene,

in particolare, visto che gli amd-mobile, nei portatili, prevedono un' avanzata e dedicata gestione del risparmio energetico, se qualcuno usa o ha usato questo programmino, può specificare se dà problemi con quella dedicata gestione risparmio energia?

vi ricordo che sui desktop questo programma è utilissimo, ci sono problemi sporadici che riguardano l'audio o certi rumori ma dipendono da chipset particolari che è bene cmq segnalare...

Significant power savings of the AMD Athlon processor only occur if the processor is
disconnected from the system bus by the Northbridge while in the Halt or Stop Grant
state.
The Northbridge can optionally initiate a bus disconnect upon the receipt of a Halt or
Stop Grant special cycle. The option of disconnecting is controlled by an enable bits in
the Northbridge.

divisor when Athlon system (S2k) bus is disconnected
