Tastiera Ps2 in porta Usb

Ciao a tutti!
Ho acquistato un adattatore da ps2 a usb, per collegare le tastiere dotate di spinotto ps2 all'entrata usb del portatile.
Solo che qualsiasi tastiera vi colleghi, questa non viene riconosciuta ( ho provato anche su altri pc, sempre con XP come SO), mi esce il fumetto. periferica usb non riconosciuta.
Cosa devo fare?
