avrei bisogno di un consiglio: mio padre è un ignorante totale di PC, e necessita di un palmare semplice da usare... con queste caratteristiche:

Pocket PC requirements:

You will need the following hardware and software to run UpToDate on your handheld device. (Palm users please note: UpToDate does not run on the Palm as it has not supported the required 1G memory devices.)
Pocket PC device running Windows Pocket PC 2002, Windows Mobile™ 2003, or Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition with an available CompactFlash or Secure Digital slot either built into the device or as an external option (e.g. an expansion pack or adapter). UpToDate will also run on Windows Pocket PC 2000 if it uses an ARM compatible processor. UpToDate does not support any Windows Mobile-based Smartphones.
External memory device (compatible with the available CompactFlash or Secure Digital slot) with a minimum of 890 MB available space.
Cradle or cable that connects the Pocket PC device to your PC. The sync manager software, Microsoft® ActiveSync®, must also be installed to your PC prior to installing UpToDate to your Pocket PC.
Memory card reader that connects the external memory device directly to your PC. There are two options for the memory card reader: a PCMCIA connector typically used for a laptop system or a USB connector typically used for a desktop system. Ce ne sono tantissimi... sono tutti "semplici", ovvero il sistema operativo è WM2003 o la seconda edizione (parlando per Windows), quello che cambia sono le prestazioni dell'apparecchio. Tu quanto vuoi spendere?
Poi se scrivessi in italiano sarebbe molto carino da parte tua

ho fatto copia e incolla dal sito :D

cmq io vorrei spendere il giusto... insomma basta che abbia le funzioni base e che nn si pianti ogni 2 min e abbia una buona durata delle batterie.

Va bene un qualunque palmare pocketpc da qui a 3-4 anni fa puchè con una scheda di memoria da 1GB (infatti sevono ben 890MB per il programma!). Consigliabile uno con lo slot compact flash così eventulmente si può mettere un modem 56K o una scheda di rete wi-fi e non

...guarda sono un novellino anch'io. Io ho preso Hp iPAQ 2210 col gps e devo dirti, che non mi sembra male come caratterisctiche.

Processore da 400 Mhz
Basettina per la sincronizzazione
Bt
Batteria removibile (importantissimo)
ed una buona autonomia.
L'ho usato anche come telecomando, funziona veramente.
Indubbiamente c'è di meglio, ma anche di molto peggio.
Io lo uso principalmente come navigatore.
Non mi si è mai bloccato e nemmeno ha subito rallentamenti.
L'ho pagato 499 Euro compreso il gps e software, secondo me miglior rapporto qualità/prezzo al momento.
Senza Gps penso tu possa trovarlo sui 350 Euro, ma in bundle è molto conveniente. ;)
