Mail da PayPal (?)

Ultimamente mi sono arrivate mail un tantino sospette da PayPal.
All'inizio non ci facevo caso, pensando che fosse PayPal che chiedeva mie notizie, dato che non lo utilizzo da un po' di tempo; pensavo "magari dopo un certo periodo che non usi l'account partono in automatico"... e non c'ho fatto più caso.

Ho deciso di vederci chiaro oggi, quando mi è arrivata una mail da PayPal per l'acquisto di una macchina fotografica da 800 dollari.
COSA?!
Puzzandomi piuttostoanzichenò, ho notato che il mittente, che si spacciava per "PayPal Support" è in realtà "piteshman@shop.com"...
Chiaramente non mi sogno nemmeno di cliccare sul link riportato nella lettera, che è http://jeysiksnet.net/

Incuriosito da ciò, ho notato che queste email mi arrivano ad uno dei miei indirizzi email, che non è quello che ho usato per iscrivermi a PayPal! Avrei dovuto accorgermene subito!

Appurato che si tratta di spam, ho voluto controllare le email precedenti, quelle che credevo fossero inviate in automatico da PayPal: bene, il mittente pare essere "support@paypal.com", e la lettera dice, tra l'altro:
Dear PayPal member

During our regular verification process we were unable to verify your information. That is because your information is either incomplete or incorrect. To prevent your account from being disabled, we are asking you to login to your account and make sure that your account information is complete. To login to you account please click on the following link:

Peccato però che il link in questione punti in realtà a:
http://www%2Epaypal%2Ecom<sequenza interminabile di %01>@deyshengs.netfirms.com/

Mi pare che %20 sia lo spazio, o roba del genere...

C'entra qualcosa la conversione da IP numerico a Stringa? :wtf:

Sono codici ASCII di caratteri speciali, come lo spazio, che altrimenti non sarebbero ammessi in un URL.

Ah, ok, sono codici ascii in esadecimale, e il '%' serve semplicemente a distinguerli dal testo normale :doh:

Esatto.
Esistono altri modi x la scrittura di un indirizzo URL, a parte quello in caratteri semplici.

Cmq io fossi in te manderei una mail a paypal giusto x comunicargli almeno sito & mail dell'utente 'simpatico'

Ho dato un'occhiata, sembrerebbe proprio che si tratti del sito ufficiale di paypal, perchè se è un sito-clone allora è fatto da dio.

bè,si anche io lo ho notato!
per resta il fatto che :

1:io non ho mai fatto transazioni con paypal!
2:nessuno a parte me accede a paypal!

per sicurezza cmq ho cambiato la password!

la cosa strana è che l'id di transazione non risulta nel mio conto paypal,perhcè da quanto ho capito qualsiasi transazione fatta con paypal viene assegnato un id univoco e messa nel account del proprietario ( che sarei io)
