A/X/LMULE: su quale orientarsi? [Archivio]

Chiedo umilmente scusa se è già stato aperto un thread a riguardo, o se era nelle FAQ, ma dopo una ricerca a scorrimento manuale (dato che quella del sito è disabilitata) non ho visto nulla di tutto ciò.

Vi volevo sottoporre un paio di quesiti. Ho installato oggi MDK10.1, e se voglio disinstallare Windows devo trovare un po' di analoghi in Linux.
Quello che più mi preme è un programma tipo emule che giri decentemente in Linux. Cercando in google ho trovato lmule, qui ingpeo chiedeva lumi su amule, un anno fa avevo installato xmule.

Ora, come ci si orienta nella galassia di ?mule per Linux? :D
Ne avete provato qualcuno? Funzionano? Considerate che la connessione che uso è una semplice ADSL Alice a 640.

Inoltre, i file temp dell'emule di windows (i .part) possono essere "importati" per essere continuati da un qualche tipo di mule per linux?

Per ora amule è il più aggiornato, sennò puoi andare su mldonkey se ti piace la multipiattaforma (edk, torrente...)

Sono nuovo del mestiere ma mi aggrego, qualcuno saprebbe indicarmi quale pacchetto scaricare per una MDK 10.1 PPC ???

Sul sito non ho trovato un pacchetto "AMULE" per MDK 10.1 PPC e neanche su "rpmfind" esiste qualcosa per PPC ???

Una volta no. Ora non so. Sapevo che stavano lavorando per separare il cuore del programma dalla GUI e mi ricordo che nei changelog di una nuova versione c'era scritto qualcosa appunto su questo.
Probabilmente puoi gestirlo tramite l'interfaccia web, così non devi installare x. Un altro modo è quello di usa vnc.

anche io uso amule da tantissimo tempo però devo dire che, purtroppo, non c'è paragone con l'emule di windows.. quest'ultimo è molto più performante (vedi kad e altre caratteristiche...). Invece sul fronte torrent l'Azureus per linux è identico a quello win e mi sta dando grandi soddisfazioni..

qualcuno ha provato ad usare emule con wine? ho letto un po di indicazioni in giro ma non ci sono ancora riuscito...

Concordo....eMule di Windows non ha paragone....
soprattutto il connubio.....Kad-WebCache.....
Sto ancora aspettando la Rel del primo aMule con il Kad.......
Ormai la maggior parte degli utenti sfrutta solo quello.....e le fonti languono.....
Però ho riscontrato con aMule delle velocità nettamente superiori ad eMule di Findus.......:sofico:

Già il decreto Urbani ha tolto di mezzo non pochi releasers.....se poi non si sviluppa il Kad le fonti per Linux Languono.....:D

Che versione hai? Io dalla 2.0rc6 ho notato grossi miglioramenti sotto questo pdv.

Hai compilato tu le WxGTK?

Non è che le hai linkate a GTK2 e così anche aMule??

Le WxGTK non reggono ancora bene le GTK2

Ho visto le request del forum di aMule, ma non ho visto date/periodi in cui hanno intenzione di rilasciare una versione kad, anche se ho notato diversi file kad nei sorgenti che si compilano nell'installazione :rolleyes:

Googlando un po' e parlocchiando qua e la...e seguendo un po' aMule...si capisce che dovrebbe essere imminente l'uscita...ormai son treo quattro REL...che mettono in programma di aggiungere il Kad.....
Credo che ormai si sia vicini all'aggiunta del Kad....

La rc8 è l'ultima rc prima della versione 2.0. Ora, non credo che implementino di botto kad nella versione 2.0... Invece può essere che non appena rilasciata la versione 2.0 si concentrino sullo sviluppo della 2.1 o 2.2 con implementata kad.

Premettendo che emule di win fa paura...io lo tengo aperto poche ore al giorno e scarico a pazzo...ora su ldebian uso amule...e mi trovo bene perchè si prendere pure i .temp di win..
l'unica cosa, cos'è il kad su emule?

Probabilmente sarà solo un caso ma io passando da emule ad amule 2.0.0rc7 non ho notato peggioramenti nella velocità di download o nell'utilizzo di memoria.

Kademilia a parte, non sento alcuna differenza e forse scarico anche un pelino più veloce.

Non solo sto usando i file temporanei di emule, ma addirittura ho assegnato proprio la directory Temp di emule (su fat32) senza problemi.

Grazie 1000, ci sono riuscito, però purtroppo ho dovuto tribulare un po', perchè oltre alle librerie elencate lì, ne ho dovute cercare altre 2, altrimenti non si installava... mi diceva di inserire il cd4 di suse 9.2, glielo mettevo (li ho provati tutti e 5....), ma non trovava il file giusto, e infatti ho guardato nel cd e non c'erano... Così li ho scaricati (2 rpm) e installati, in totale 4 rpm prima di installare amule... I 2 in più sono GD e compatxxxxxxx (non mi ricordo bene...)...

Una cosa raga... Una volta installato, ovviamente non crea nessun collegamento sul desktop... Ma mi sono chiesto, non esistono i collegamenti in Linux?? Uno deve sempre andare nella cartella per far partire un prog? :eek: :eek: :eek:
Dico, va bene che non è win, però i collegamenti sono comodi e non hanno controindicazioni... boooh... :eek: comunque sia, io ho preso direttamente l'eseguibile, l'ho copiato sul desktop, e funziona tutto... Dite che non va bene? Le cartelle di salvataggio e tutto il resto invece le ho lasciate come di default...

Non sembra male sto aMule, peccato per il KAD che non l'hanno ancora messo... speriamo presto...

Ah, ho dovuto anche disattivare il firewall perchè non riuscivo a trovare come configurarlo per aprire la porta che serve al mulo, e mi faceva connettere con ID basso... Così l'ho chiuso e disattivato, e ora va con ID alto, ma non sono protetto dai curiosi... :(

Per questo puoi clickare con il destro sul desktop e creare un nuovo collegamento come in win solo che nel programma da aprire scrivi solamente il nome es. amule.

Io trovo solo questo su yast: ho provato anche ad inserire gli intervalli delle porte sulla finestrella, ma niente; dove sbaglio?

Da quello screen vedo che puoi inserire intervalli solamente nelle porte udp e non tcp, non capisco il motivo.
Cmq se hai detto che provando da console non funziona allora non so più come aiutarti :(

L'ideale sarebbe quello di riscrivere tutte le regole di iptables manualmente seguendo uno degli howto presenti in rete ;)

Servizi CP io l'ho pensato come servizi TCP ed ho inserito lì l'intervallo...
Cmq, una domanda: amule mi dice che la porta 4662 deve essere aperta in input e output.
con i tuoi comandi penso vengano aperte in input:

Esiste l'opzione OUTPUT? Ti parlo da "ignorante" in quanto a configurazione manuale di iptables, quindi abbi pazienza se ho sparato una castronata!!:D

Io davo per scontato che in uscita è tutto libero.
Cmq dal link devi solamente seguire questi semplici passi:

- Aprire con un editor (vi, nano o kwrite) /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2 è un semplice file di testo
- Aggiungere queste due righe:
FW_SERVICES_EXT_TCP="4662 4672"
FW_SERVICES_EXT_UDP="4662 4672"
- ed infine riavviare il firewall per applicare le modifiche lanciando da console:
/sbin/SuSEfirewall2 stop && /sbin/SuSEfirewall2 start

Ora basta chiudere aMule ed avviarlo per godersi l'ID alto :D

Allora, ho modificato il file come da te indicato (ho aggiunto le 2 righe in fondo, è corretto?).
Ho stoppato e fatto ripartire amule:

linux:/etc # /sbin/SuSEfirewall2 stop && /sbin/SuSEfirewall2 start
SuSEfirewall2: Firewall rules unloaded.
SuSEfirewall2: Firewall rules successfully set from /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2

Ma nulla!! Sempre lo stesso errore....e id basso:muro:

Queste son le ultime righe di SuSEfirewall2

emuleplus fa schifo, è molto meglio emule 'standard'.
e poi non capisco il motivo per cui si deve emularlo quando c'è l'ottimo aMule :rolleyes:

Ti chiedevo questo perchè il tuo modem essendo ethernet non so se effettua il port fowarding in automatico, a riguardo ho trovato questo (http://hm210dp.altervista.org/nat.htm) se il modem è impostato come router.

non ho capito molto bene il link che hai postato (:D ), ma cmq non ho mai usato il modem come router....

Nel frattempo sto cercando di capire come si usa firestarter, ma ho qualche problemino...se lo attivo non riescopiù a navigare!!:mc:

Lui ti ha fatto aprire la 4660, e tu invece hai emule settato per la 4662 :D

Cambia i settaggi di emule e spostati sulla 4660 (TCP) e 4670 (UDP) ;)
