Spielberg fa dei buoni film ben confezionati, ma non è certo un grande artista ne un genio. E poi è vero, è troppo buonista, troppo per famiglie.

Aspettiamo qualche mese no ?
Il film non e' uscito, non esistono trailers ufficiali, solo un misero teaser.
Un po' poco per intavolare una discussione sul film.

Mi ispirano un casino sti film... tra l'altro anche Batman Begins è nelle mie brame... sono curioso di vedere cosa fare Jackson con King Kong

Lo conoscete solo per le megaproduzioni...ma date un'occhiata a "Duel" o " Sugarland Express"...Certo, genio forse è un po troppo, ma sicuramente molto al di sopra della media...

Bella idea, andrò a vederlo :)
Spielberg non è il mio regista preferito, non tutti i suoi film mi piacciono però molti li adoro, i vecchi più che altro. Le ultime produzioni si sono forse appesantite, però tra tutte le critiche che gli si possono muovere non capisco chi dice che non gli piace perchè fa film "buonisti". Boh, ci sono altri registi, migliori o peggiori, che fanno film più crudi e realisti, qual'è il problema? Se tutti i registi fossero uguali sai che palle ;)

Vero! Bhè, che dire...La Guerra Dei Mondi è sicuramente una pietra miliare del cinema di fantascienza e il fatto che sia stato Spielberg a prendere questa iniziativa non può che farmi contento. Certo non è garanzia certa, ma sono ottimista...:D

Spielberg è sicurmente tra i maggiori autori contemporanei, se non tra i più grandi di tutti i tempi; è come picasso: non è grande per essere stato geniale in un settore, è grande per avere rivoluzionato innumerevoli generi.
E.T., piaccia o no il film o il genere, è qualcosa di eccezionale nell'idea e nella narrativa e nel modo di raccontarla. Può sembrare scontata adesso che è stata assorbita, ma è incredibile la portata rivoluzionaria di quel film (che nn mi è mai piaciuto, per inciso).
I Predatori dell'Arca Perduta è semplicemente il capostipite di tutto il genere: ha inventato un nuovo genere di film d'azione, mescolando in maniera inedita avventura, macabro, thriller, film storico e fantasy. E se il tutto funziona è solo per la maestria che fotogramma dopo fotogramma Spielberg mette in campo.
Lo Squalo idem: ha lasciato una traccia indelebile nel genere. Il modo di affrontare la storia, di visualizzarla e condurla è stato fatto proprio da tutti i film successivi.
Schindler's List si commenta da solo.
E parlando di opere meno eccezionali va ricordato il Soldato Ryan (mai piaciuto, ma l'influenza che ha avuto è stata enorme) o Minority Report (A.I., Jurassic Park, Prova a prendermi).
La sua grandezza viene dall'eccezionale visionarietà: prendete la scena dei velociraptor nella cucina in JP; è una cosa disimpegnata, che non ha set particolari nè dialoghi, ma ti tiene col fiato sospeso; tempi e fotografia sono perfetti, eccezionalmente creativi, con niente ti tiene col fiato sospeso. Come Lo Squalo, del resto.
O in Minority Report, che è un vistruosismo dietro l'altro.
Ha un talento innato nel maneggiare la macchina da presa, nell'immaginare nuove realtà (come Tarantino l'ha nel creare dialoghi).
Qualche schifezza l'ha fatta pure, ma che abbia un talento eguagliato da pochi (Tarantino, Scorsese, Altman e Coppola potrebbero essere altri) è innegabile.
Quello che è considerato il più grande critico di cinema contemporaneo (poi, più che critico, è un studioso e un appassionato di cinema) tiene una rubrica in cui parla dei Grandi Film, quelle pellicole eccezionali che hanno fatto storia, e, in sostanza, ti spiega perchè sono grandi (ma non solo). Spielberg ne ha 4 in classifica, è l'unico. Questo non vuol dire niente, perchè c'è grande film e grande film (lo squalo non è il padrino) ma credo dia una misura del talento di Spielberg, che certo non è nè normale, nè un po' sopra la media.

Roger Ebert, del Chicago Sun-Times: credo l'unico del suo settore ad aver vinto il Pulitzer, oltre a una valanga di lauree ad honorem e riconoscimenti dall'american film institute.
