VCN icona nascosta

ciao a tutti,
sono un amministratore di rete che si occupa anche di help desk in un'azienda con piu' di 200 postazini di lavoro. Uso RealVNC per l'assistenza remota. Il mio problema è che a volte gli utenti piu' "furbi" chiudono il vnc da soli o addirittura lo disinstallano.
Volevo sapere se, agendo da una chiave di registro, è possibile nascondere l'icona del VNC in modo che il server sia in esecuzione ma non si veda.

sono talmente avanti che mi rispondo da solo :-)

Al sito http://www.jankratochvil.net/project/winvnc/ c'è la versione patchata di VNC, o meglio, il file della componente server.
Installate queindi la 4, stoppate il servizio, sovrascrivete il vecchio file .exe della cartella programmi/realvnc/vnc4 con quello scaricato, riavviate et voila'.............servizio in esecuzione senza icona tray.
Resta solo un problema....come impedire agli utenti di levare realvnc dal pannello di controllo? semplice....modificando il registro in modo che non si veda il programma in aggiungi/rimuovi programmi....ecco come fare, vi allego la spiegazione cercata su internet:

Well it's prety simpel to remove a program from the "Add/Remove programs" program, to do it (i asume your running Win XP) go start>run and type regedit , now in regedit you have to be super carefull not to delete any thing by acident your you mite realy screw your PC up. any way then you have to go to the directory HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall this is were the add/remove program stors all the information need to uninstall each program, now you need to make a back up of the part of the registry your going to delete befor you delete it to do so you right click on the folder that contains the program you want to remove or "Hide" then select export, then just save that like a normal file. Then at this point you can delete the folder that conrains the information on the program you want to "Hide" at this point you can close regedit and if you go to the Add/Remove programs menu you should notice that the program has gone. Remember that file you saved well this is what it's for, if for some reason you want the program back on the add/remove progams list just doubel click it and press yes and magicly it's back at this point to get ride of it again you would have to delete it via the registry again, you get the idea. ;D

Si diciamo che la procedura è lunga, pero' per gli utenti cosidetti "furbi" è quello che ci vuole........del tipo: tu mettimi pure il vnc ma ti avviso che appena mi dai il pc lo levo :-)
poi fanno casini e ti chiamano per le piu' disparate stronzate e tu devi scattare :-)
Cmq VIVA VNC.........qualcuno ha altri settaggi interessanti?

Hanno aggiunto la funzionalità "a pagamento" quindi dire come nascondere l'icona "gratis" non credo sia una cosa leggittima, per quanto sia una scelta discutibile quella di fare pagare per una icona nella tray...


You can hide the VNC Server system tray icon whilst there are no connections active, by enabling the "DisableTrayIcon" parameter in VNC Server, Expert Settings. "0" means that the system tray icon will always be displayed, which is the default setting, so set it to "1" to hide the tray icon when VNC Viewers are not connected.

You can not hide the VNC Server system tray icon whilst there are active connections to the VNC Server for security reasons. If you have a legitimate need of this setting, please contact our sales team regarding an OEM license. They can provide a special license key that will allow you to disable the tray icon even when there are active connections. You can request this special license by going to:

Click on the "online purchasing process" link, complete the process as far as the "How would you like to purchase" stage, then "Enquire", enter the required details and a description of your request (Special license for disabling the tray icon even when there are active connections). Then "Submit enquiry".

Once in possession of the license, apply it to the standard VNC download and then go to:

VNC Server > More > Options > Expert tab > DisableTrayIcon

and set the value to 2 to disable the tray icon even when there are active connections.
