Cambiare le lettere delle unità da WinXP

Ciao, un mio amico ha messo in MASTER il lettore DVD e il SLAVE il masterizz Cd. però winXP vede D: il master e E: il lettore DVD... perchè? Come posso cambiarli?
Ho notato che anche il POST li vede nell'ordine giusto MA/SL, invece WinXP no...
