View Full Version : Come si rimuove il backup effettuato dal SP2 ?

Ho installato il SP2 di WinXP, tutto Ok al momento.

A differenza del SP1, non c'era la possibilita' di evitare il backup dei files sostituiti (o meglio c'e', e' il parametro /n )...

Come si fa' a rimuovere il backup effettuato durante l'installazione ?

Si dice di cancellare la cartella del backup

Those are hotfix backup files, created when you install a Windows Update hotfix. Removing those folders means that uninstallation of hotfixes are not possible. If your system is stable and if you have no plans to uninstall the hotfixes, go ahead and delete those folders.

For the Add/Remove hotfix entries:

IIRC, that method hides the Add/Remove entry by just removing "Display Name" string in the registry. Or, if you prefer to remove them from the registry, here is the registry path:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall]
