Uso knoppix 3.4. Ho installato i driver eciadsl per questo modem usb, che dovrebbero funzionare con questo modello. La connessione però non va, qualcuno ha dei suggerimenti? Questo è l'errore che m'ha dato col file synch01:

Questo è l'errore che mi ha dato col file synch03 e mi sembra pressochè identico, cambiano solo i "channel" (synch01 e synch03 erano i file che consigliavano di usare con il mio modem nel "readme"):

Successivamente ho riprovato con synch01 e mi ha dato questo messaggio, evidenziando problemi di sincronizzazione che poco prima non c'erano in quanto la sincronizzazione andava a buon fine:

failed to get synchronization


Sono un pò in alto mare...:rolleyes:

Io non sono tuttora riuscito a usare il mio modem su linux.
pero' questo problema l'ho avuto e mi sembra dovuto al supporto USB.

hai provato a staccare la presa usb dal modem, aspettare che si resetta e riprovare?

il synch.bin devi sceglierlo in base al provider, o provarli tutti finche' non trovi uno che funziona.

prova a far partire lo script eci-doctor che cerca alcuni errori comuni.

p.s. da gentoo riesco a connettermi solo x pochi minuti.
con una distro demo di Suse 9.0 funziona benissimo.

io ho infostrada e si sincronizza il synch07.bin

Dimmi se anche te hai queste impostazioni. Per ora sono arrivato a provare fino al file synch15, prima di continuare a provarli tutti ho letto in un altro thread qui sotto che i driver non funzionano col kernel 2.6 che è quello che uso. Quindi proverò anche col 2.4 e vedrò cosa succede! Attendo comunque "febbrilmente" il confronto col tuo file! Grazie mille!

Per far funzionare gli eciadsl col 2.6 bisogna patchare i sorgenti del kernel, ricompilarlo ed installarlo.

La patch la trovi sul sito stesso degli eciadsl.
