Problemi con punkbuster

Ciao a tutti, ultimamente giocando a Enemy Territory ed entrando nei server con punkbuster, quest'ultimo mi kikka con il seguente messaggio: "Inadequate o/s privileges", ho provato ad aggiornarlo ma nonostante tutto mi esce ancora questo messaggio.. voi come avete fatto? :)

Devi avere i privilegi di amministratore sul computer per poter usare punkbuster, altrimenti certi cheats non si potrebbero smascherare.

Oppure c'è una soluzione in questa faq che ti riporto, spero che tu sappia districarti tra i termini dei windows inglesi ;)
Is there some way to modify my system configuration to be an administrator equivalent from PunkBuster's perspective?

Yes (under Win XP Pro or Win 2K). This can be accomplished by setting certain privileges for the user that will run the game. To do this, first temporarily log in as an Administrator. Then go to Control Panel => Administrative Tools => Local Security Policy. This will open up the Local Security setting window. Expand the Local Policies folder and select User Rights Assignment. This will bring up a list of security settings for the computer. You will need to add the user that will be launching the game to have the following privileges. If the user is logged in while making changes, the user must be logged out and back in for the changes to take effect.


Debug Programs
Load and unload device drivers
Manage auditing and security log
Modify Firmware environment values
Profile Single Process
This is done by double clicking on the setting and then the "Add User or Group" button. You can either type the user or group name into the field or click on advanced to select from a list. If you select advanced, you may need to click on the "Object Types" button and make sure all 3 boxes are checked. Then click "OK". Click on the "Find Now" button to generate a full list of all users and groups on the system. Highlight the user you want to add the rights to and click "OK". Keep clicking "OK" untill you are back at the Local Security Settings window. Repeat this process for the rest of the list. That user will now be able to play on PB servers without getting kicked for "Inadequate O/S Privileges".

Infatti ho guardato anche quella, ma non ho capito se devo aggiungere ad ogni servizio, i privilegi all'user. Inoltre l'user è riferito al nick con cui mi collego oppure al nome con qui accedo al computer? :)

http://www.ngi.it/forum/archive/index.php/t-263394.html qui poi mettono come soluzione estrema la sostituzione della cartella PB (di punkbuster) con quella di un giocatore di enemy territory che non ha il suddetto problema :D

No no, stiamo parlando di user di windows, non del gioco o dei server. Devi aggiugere all'utente i privilegi di poter usare quei servizi.

Fai così, ti colleghi come admin, fai pulsante START, esegui: ci scrivi:
%SystemRoot%\system32\secpol.msc /s
e dai l'invio.
Espandi Criteri Locali e apri la cartella Assegnazione diritti utenti.
Poi per ognuno dei servizi sopra elencati li doppio clicchi e selezioni Aggiungi utente o gruppi. Poi ci aggiungi l'utente (di windows) col quale giochi.

Niente da fare... :cry:
Il crampo alle mani causato da tutti quei click (quanti servizi :eek: ) :D non ha sortito l'effetto desiderato..
Proverò di nuovo ad aggiornare il punkbuster anche se in cuor mio so che non serivrà a niente.. :(

Ma non puoi mettere l'accesso da admin?

Dato che c'è un unico utente a cui accede al pc, gli ho dato tutti i permessi ma niente.. sinceramente non saprei cosa dire e/o fare..
