Ciao a tutti!
Io per motivi di tesi(Ingegneria Informatica...) ho da un 2 mesi installato la red hat 9 sul mio portatile nx7000 hp.
Il problema č che il mio mouse USB(un mouse ottico della logitech, 2 pulsanti + rotella, niente di strano) ha all' improvviso smesso di funzionare sotto linux mentre continua a farlo sotto WinXP.
Io sto usando il touchpad che perņ non sopporto!
Perciņ chiedo un aiuto a voi sapienti utenti del forum.

Piuttosto, hai mica cambiato i moduli caricati all'avvio da /etc/modules ?

Io tanto per vedere se il mouse viene visto farei subito

# lsusb

se č presente il mouse, te lo dovrebbe indicare (sempre se la tua distro prevede questo comando). prova magari a darlo prima e dopo aver collegato il mouse e vedi se č cambiato qualcosa ...

Inoltre, le porte USB ti funzionano ? Hai altre periferiche USB collegate ?

Infine prova a dare un

# lsmod

e vedere se hai i moduli per la gestione dell'USB e del mouse caricati .

Scusa, mi potresti postare anche la parte del file XF86Config-4 che riguarda il touchpad e l'output di lsmod, visto che io ho il prob opposto (mi funge il mouse USB, ma non il touch)

Nel mio tra l'altro ho i seguenti moduli.

Se non li hai pova ad inserirli nel /etc/modules
