Ciao, vi segnalo una mail che ho appena ricevuto, apparentemente dalla VISA.
Se provate ad andare al link segnalato, si apre effettivamente un form da compilare. Notate che nessuna delle altre pagine linkabili dal sito si apre, e anche che l' indirizzo è un po' particolare...
State attenti, ed informate anche i vostri conoscenti.
Spero possiate mettere in rilievo il thread, mi sembra importante.

Due to concerns, for the safety and integrity of the VISA community we have issued this warning message.
It has come to our attention that your account information needs to be updated due to inactive accounts,
frauds and spoof reports. If you could please take 5-10 minutes out of your online experience and renew
your records you will not run into any future problems with your VISA card. However, failure
to update your records will result in your card suspension. This notification expires on July 20 2004.

Once you have updated your account records your VISA card will not
be interrupted and will continue as normal.

If you suspect you've provided confidential information to a fraudulent site, contact the customer service number on the back of your card or from your account statement.

You can report e-mail fraud claiming to be from Visa by attaching the suspicious message to an e-mail addressed to: askvisa@visa.com

Aggiungo solo che secondo me questa mail che ho riportato sopra è fatta abbastanza bene, e quindi poteva anche trarre in inganno.
Questo tenuto conto anche del fatto che io ho una VISA, se avessi avuto una Mastercard non sarei neanche andato avanti a leggere...

cmq generalmente diffido SEMPRE dalle email che mi arrivano in inglese da gente che non conosco...

infatti hai ragione, ma questa sembrava un po' più credibile, non arrivava come semplice testo, ma come su "carta intestata" VISA. Dico solo che al contratio delle cazzate dell' FBI, della Microsoft, ecc, questo un minimo dubbio che si trattasse di qualcosa di serio me l' ha fatto venire. Certo poi è bastato un attimo per capire che era un falso, ma mi sembra comunque giusto farlo presente anche agli altri.

immaginate a tutte le persone di lingua inglese a cui arrivano.
Chissà quanti sprovveduti ci cascano.

Io sono sicuro che se arrivasse una mail del genere, in italiano, da noi sarebbe uno sfacelo (ma ne arrivano?)

Già penso ad uno come mio padre, se un giorno si ricordasse per caso come si apre la sua casella e-mail (eggià che deve solo cliccare sull'icona dell'outlook) e trovasse una cosa simile, se non avesse la possibilitàdi chiamarmi potrebbe pure cascarci

E si che gli ho fatto una testa tanta di non credere a nulla che gli arrivi sulla mail, e se qualcosa gli arriva di dirlo a me!


Mail del genere in italiano, secondo me catturerebbero un saco di boccaloni...
