Ho un problema con wine... è lento. Usavo ultima online subendo qualche piccolo rallentamento che credevvo fosse dovuto alla (non?)emulazione di wine, poi sono passato a fallout che mi andava troppo lento, ho creduto fosse un problema del gioco di per se, adesso invece ho avuto l'illuminazione: sara mica perchè wine non mi usa l'accelerazione 3d? in effetti ultima mi va proprio come quando avevo ancora la mi ati non accelerata in windows, e scudetto 5 è lento solo nelle partite (dove credo usi 1 po di accelerazione 3d) mentre nel caricamento è persino + veloce che in win!

Da quello che ho capito stai usando wine per giocare. Forse nel tuo caso è meglio se usi wineX che ha una implementazione migliore delle directx di ms. sul sito della transgaming trovi tutto quello che c'è da sapere per comprare/compilare il programmino in questione.

beh... immagino che nn sia niente che nn si possa fare con qine, visto che wineX è stato sviluppato paretendo da wine... così come crossover office, che è wine con l'aiuto dell'interfaccia grafica...
WineX purtroppo va in conflitto cn wine normale, e mi ricordo che mi dava problemi con qlcune applicazioni che andavano c n wine normale...

La configurazione mi sembra ok, pero' dovresti commentare
"Synchronous" = "Y" nella sezione [x11drv] per ottenere qualcosina in piu.
cmq winex supporta meglio i giochi directx (e' fatto apposta)

Wine non supporta le direct3d , quindi l'accellerazione 3d non adrà mai , a meno che il gioco non abbia un render OpenGL , che su linux si può usare nativamente .

L'unica soluzione adesso è Cedega/Winex che supporta le Direct3d 9.0

wineinstall e' una baracca e tra un po lo leveranno (non appena avranno messo a punto winecfg). Comunque mi sembra di capire che il problema sia nell'installazione del registro, puoi fare questo procedimento a mano: devi andare nella dir "programs/regapi", compilare regapi (che mi sembra compili correttamente) e poi lanciare il comando:

programs/regapi/regapi setValue < winedefault.reg

per ulteriori informazioni guarda:

in alternativa invochi "wine regedit" e quindi ti importi winedefault.reg, funziona lo stesso ed e' piu semplice. Quindi riavvii il wine con wineboot
