Problema con "internet connection", help ?

Ciao a tutti,
scusate mi ma io non parlo italiano allora devo scrivere quasi -tutto in inglese....spero che ce qualcuno chi parla ....:)

Ok I have a cablecom connection and it seems to be working fine however I cant access certain sites as for example my hotmail account or amazon (only when i want to actually buy things ...the site itself does come up). A friend of mine had also installed Kazaa onto my computer but I cant really access that site because "i have no connection"? ( BUT I DO !!!!)
Can someone please help ??

do you use a firewall? or a router with "port forwarding"?
