ho acquistato un box magnex per usufruire di un masterizzatore dvd ide e trasformarlo in unità esterno USB 2x il portatile pentium 3 933- 374 mb- 10g HD- usb1 -no firewire.

ha importanza come setto i jumpers essendo ora usb?
il masterizzatore lavora a 4x i dvd e 16x i cd. a che velocità masterizzerebbe con le usb1 del portatile?

No, non conta come metti i jumpers.

Per le velocità, direi che sono perfette. In USB1.1 dovrebbe andare a max 4x per i CD ed i DVD mi sa che te li scordi.

niente da fare:muro:
sia sul portatile che sul fisso (entrambi win xp sp1) a fianco della perfirica mi compare un bel bollo giallo con errore 10 e non c'è verso di aggiornare i driver e farla funzionare.
consigli....

Prova ad aggiornare il layer ASPI (vedi FAQ e guide), che non si sa mai.
