Aggiornamento firmware LG 4040B, la versione D303,che dopo l'upgrade viene riconosciuto come A303.

Improved points: Reading from hybrid DVD
Important notes: They accomplish the update on your own risk. If the burner runs smoothly, actually no update is necessary. The drive assembly must be attached with the update alone as "Seconday masters" (without Secondary Slave). Itself the CD befindene in the drive assembly must be removed before the update procedure. The update procedure may be never interrupted. This firmware is not to be used for OEM drive assembly (HP, IBM, Compaq, Dell). The models with similar designations are with one another compatible not. During the firmware update may normally no CD in the burner be. Installation instruction: 1. GSA4040BD303.zip on the non removable disk downloaden and unpack. 2. 4040d303.exe doubleclick. 3. The firmware update is implemented automatically. 4. Click with the update end, "Reboot Button".

Ho appena aggiornato il mio LG,tutto ok,alcuni dvd-r no brand sono stati riconosciuti alla max velocita di 4x,prima solo 2x,inoltre in rete ho trovato queste poche righe sui benefici del nuovo firm:

A303 does much better with reading dvd-ram (real near to 3x reading now) writing improved from about 1800kb/s to about 1900kb/s

the upgrader/file name reports firmware version D303, but the drive says it is A303

ottimo!! funziona....adesso mi prende a 4x anke i SIX ke sn dvd verbatim rimarchiati ke prima vedeva a sl 2x

Questo ragazzo ha scritto una mail a LG per il firmware D303(A303)scomparso dal sito,qui a seguito :

I got an email from LG this morning, where I asked why the A303 (D303) was removed from the German site. So it looks like there will be a new FW comming soon.


Dear Mr. Jan xxxxxxxxx,

D303 is a test version firmware specially for hybrid layer dvd.
You can install it. But this firmware don't change´the function of your drive.
We will prepare for a full version firmware.

Il mio non va + dopo l agiornamento...
E' andato per un po di giorni poi stop non masterizza +..

Usa il firmware A303,lo lanci e ritorni al vecchio A302,lo puoi fare tranquillamente,ho gia' provato io....

scusate la domanda, magari č stupida, ma piuttosto di incasinare il masterizzatore preferisco chiedere: mi pare di aver capito che bisogna lasciare il masterizzatore in secondary master e staccare un eventuale periferica su secondary slave prima di fare l'aggiornamento. Ho capito bene?

io l'ho sempre aggiornato sia ke fosse su master o slave, ke su primary o secondary

Sono passato ankio al 303 ma i DVD-R "Datawrite" 4x, li scrivo ankora a 2x.
