Incuriosito da questo trafiletto sulla rivista FOCUS,
Secondo Il vescovo sudafricano Desmond Tutu,premio Nobel per la pace e presidente della commissione per la verità e la riconciliazione in Sudafrica, l'assassinio sarebbe stato organizzato in segreto dalla Cia, dal MI5 inglese e dai servizi segreti sudafricani (focus, dicembre 1998)

ho cercato (google + yahoo) notizie in italiano sulla morte del segretario dell'Onu Dag Hammarskjöid nel 1961(Dag Hjalmar Agne Carl Hammarskjöld,Sweden Secretary General of the U.N. b. 1905 d. 1961) Premio Nobel x la Pace postumo, (unica eccezione nella storia del Premio) mi sono scontrato con una barriera di gomma dei siti italiani: zero, zero qualcosina:

L'altra Ipotesi è che,
nel corso di questa stessa vicenda un personaggio che doveva rappresentare l’ordine politico internazionale al di sopra delle nazioni e dei blocchi, cioè il Segretario generale dell’ONU dell’epoca, Hammarskjoeld, muore in un incidente aereo che quasi sicuramente è il mascheramento di un attentato organizzato dal filo-belga Ciombé
responsabile anche dei tredici aviatori della 46° Brigata aerea Italiana che furono trucidati a Kindu, nel Congo ex belga l’11 o il 12 novembre 1961, evento ricordato in occasione della strage di Nassyria.

Sì, ma non da link in internet.
Prova sotto "Le Monde Diplomatique", magari gli articoli che rievocavano la sua, poco trasparente, scomparsa, sono ancora in archivio.

SA had no reason to kill top UN official _ expert

STOCKHOLM -- A Swedish expert has expressed doubt about documents released on Wednesday in South Africa pointing to direct British, United States and South African involvement in a plot to kill the then United Nations secretary-general Dag Hammarskjold in 1961.

"South Africa was not involved in the United Nations in the beginning of the 1960s and had no reason to kill Dag Hammarskjold," ambassador Bengt Roesioe told the Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter.

Mr Roesioe was a Swedish diplomat in Leopoldville in Congo when Mr Hammarskjold's plane crashed on approach to the Ndola airport in former Northern Rhodesia, now Zambia.

Mr Hammarskjold, a Swede, had been on his way to meet rebel leader Moise Tshombe to negotiate a truce in the Congo civil war.

"The accident was caused by pilot error," Mr Roesioe said, dismissing the latest in a long line of conspiracy theories.

"Among other things, it was only decided a few hours beforehand that Mr Hammarskjold would fly to Ndola. And the actual plane that he took was only decided upon a few hours before take off," he added.

Mr Roesioe is a leading expert on Mr Hammarskjold's death. He was asked by Sweden's Foreign Ministry to examine all existing inquiries and reports in the early 1990s.

Wednesday's claims came from South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) chairman Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who said the TRC had found the documented evidence while doing an audit of information it had gathered over the past two years.

The documents refer to an operation codenamed "How is Celeste?", and implicate the US Central Intelligence Agency and Britain's MI5 intelligence agency.

A series of letters between a captain and a commodore whose names have been deleted by the TRC say the UN is "becoming troublesome" in the Congolese conflict "and it is felt Hammarskjold should be removed".

The then UN chief was a known communist and supported Mr Tshombe's bid to secede the diamond-rich Katanga province from the Congo, a move that was opposed by the US, Britain and South Africa.

Both the Central Intelligence Agency and London have denied any involvement in Mr Hammarskjold's death. -- Sapa-AFP
