Nvidia FX 5900 Ultra 256MB DDR
With DVI and TV/Out!
Features
* 256bit Memory Architecture - Higher memory bandwidth
* 256MB of DDR Memory - For faster speed at higher resolutions and FSAA settings
* Intellisample HCT - Higher performance AntiAliasing, especially at higher resolutions
* CineFX 2.0 - Twice the floating point pixel shader performance
* UltraShadow - Shadow volume acceleration
256bit Memory Architecture
Something that was sorely lacking on the FX 5800 Ultra, the wider 256bit bus give tons more memory bandwidth. The Radeon 9500Pro and 9700/9800 series 256bit bus is what really allowed it to pull ahead of the competition. With the wider bus, the 5900 Ultra has 27.2GB of memory bandwidth, compared to 21.8 on the Radeon 9800 Pro.
256MB Texture Memory
The additional 128MB of RAM allows high resolution textures to load into video RAM instead of transferring across the AGP bus. It also allows for better FSAA performance at higher resolutions.
Intellisample HCT
NVIDIA's next generation Antialiasing increases compression efficiency up to 50%. This allows for much higher performance at high resolution FSAA.
CineFX 2.0
As more and more games require more complex pixel level computations, pixel shader performance becomes more and more important. By optimizing all stages of the pixel pipeline, CineFX 2.0 gives twice the performance in floating-point shader power.
UltraShadow
This accelerates lighting and object interactions. UltraShadow uses Z component of the bounding box to reduce the area that needs to be checked. In next-gen engines like Doom 3, shadow acceleration is crucial to high performance.
