Salve a tutti volevo sapere se qualcuno poteva indicarmi quale apzione si deve abilitare per usare il wol su una asus a7v600

Entra nel bios nella sezione "power up control" ed abilita la voce "wake/power up on external modem". Questa è l'equivalente del "wake up on lan". Il segnale di resume parte sempre da un modem, sia singolo sia connesso in rete.

grazie...ma abilitando questa funzione parte anche se io nn ho un modem? vorrei utilizzare un programma che si chiama magik packet

Dovresti avere un modem oppure essere connesso in rete. Mi sembra che Magic Packet sia rivolto solo a quest'ultima eventualità.

ok scusami mi spiego meglio .......allora il mio pc e' connesso in rete , quando si spegne sul'hub rimane accesa la luce che corrisponde al pc in questione, vuol dire che la scheda di rete integrata rimane attiva, pero' ho abilitato la funzione che mi hai indicato ma non succede niente inviando il pacchetto con magic pocket ...ho anche provato ad abilitare la funzione da : gestione periferiche/scheda di rete/3com..../avanzare/wake up capabilities/esiste la funzione magic packet...stesso risultato...

Sinceramente questo programma non lo conosco bene. Però so che la funzione WOL è attivabile nel modo descritto. Perchè non provi ad installare, oltre i driver della scheda di rete, anche il software di gestione? Dovrebbe essercene una versione aggiornata.

Quì (http://www.asus.it/support/download/item.aspx?ModelName=A7V600). Però controlla se quel software è compatibile con questo tipo di scheda di rete. Prova a consultare il sito dei realizzatori.

ho onstallato tutte le utility ma non ho ancora risolto il problema, nessuno ha attivato la funzione wol su questa scheda?

- Solution: use 'directed broadcasts', f.e. use: wol 192.168.1.255-00:01:02:03:04:05
the port WOL uses is blocked by a firewall or by the OS.
- Solution: choose another port which is not blocked, f.e. smtp port 25: wol -p=25 00:01:02:03:04:05
the target machine is not correctly powered down.
- Solution: this is a real problem. To verify that this is the case get atxoff.com from my AtxOff Utilities page, create a DOS bootdisk, boot it on the target machine and execute atxoff.com. You can also download a ready-to-use bootdisk image from my site. Then try again to wake up from another machine. If this works correctly then it seems that your Installation and / or your bios is the cause. In the bios setup you can try f.e. switching from "Plug'n Play OS" to "no Plug'n Play OS"...; or you can try to change something in the OS's APM settings...
the target machine's network card doesnt show activity and it seems the whole PC is off.
- Solution: replace your ATX power supply with a newer one. For WakeOnLan you will need a power supply with at least 0.8 Ampere SB (5V standby); or it might also work if you replace the network card with one which consumes less power, f.e. Realtek's RTL8139 chip which consumes less than 50 mA (older Intel and 3COM consume more than 650 mA!).

ok grazie.....ma io come faccio a capi che il alimentatore 'e adeguato?...anche xche' sullo switch la luce che si riferisce al pc in questione risulta accesa"a pc spento" e quindi in teoria correttamente alimentata.
