Why SCO will soon be going after BSD

SCO is going to attack the 1994 AT&T/BSD settlement. (...)

Since they cannot show infringement of SCO Unix code, SCO now plans to challenge the 9-year-old settlement between AT&T and BSD. If it can successfully do that, then its claims that Linux contains tainted code can be substantiated. If it can't, SCO is dead meat.

Ma la causa fra AT&T e l'università Berkley non era già finita? Non aveva vinto l'università? E se per sbaglio vince AT&T, la licenza BSD dove va a finire?

Se non ho capito male ... sì che era finita... da quel dì :rolleyes:

però si direbbe che SCO voglia tipo far giudicare nullo l' accordo at&t-BSD in modo che, qualunque OS contenente codice preso " a prestito" dal codice bsd (cioè un po' dovunque, win, linux oltre naturalmente ai vari free/net/open -bsd )... siano tacciabili di aver "palagiato" ... :rolleyes:
