Utility per bad cluster

Esiste una utility per risconoscere se ci sono bad cluster in un HD (ed evantualmente quanti e dove) senza effettuare una formattazione low-level?

mmmmh, veramente li ho letti.....

ma l'unico programma per i Maxtor è Powermax, ma non sembra contempli una risposta alle mie esigenza...

The program's name "Maxtor PowerDiag v3.04" (x values vary per version) is displayed at the top of each screen. The information on the screen identifies the keystrokes to be use to continue the program execution and the ones which terminates the operations.
After reviewing the Disclaimer information Type "y" and the Handling Precautions screen is displayed.
After reviewing the Handling Precautions information, type "y" and the Installation Detection screen is displayed.
The Installation Detection information is displayed as shown below. This portion of the utility is designed to interrogate your system and identify the connection location of IDE devices; whether connected to the motherboard's onboard controllers or connected a third party controller card (e.g., the Maxtor Ultra ATA/100 Adapter Card).

Vorrei sapere se vi sono Bad cluster ed in caso eliminarli ;)

Powermax prevede il test del disco, dovrebbe prevedere il tentativo di recupero, prevede senz'altro la formattazione a basso livello
Se dopo la formattazione permangono (ma in questo caso dovrebbe arrestarsi la formattazione stessa), allora il disco è da buttare (o da far sostituire se in garanzia)
