Regolare il refresh......incollato a 60Hz !!

esiste un prg tipo ATI refreshfix ma che funzioni con il Win98-ME?

Io (ho effettuato ancora un'altra prova..) con il mio monitor , con i CATATLYST 3.2 (ATI,Neutral etc.etc.) ho sempre il refresh a 60Hz, nonostante abbia modificato il valore di monitor nel registro di Win98-ME.
Ho notato inoltre che ,sul pannello di controllo dei drivers,sotto la voce "visualizzazione", con il S.O. WinXP c'è da regolare risoluzione-frequenza di monitor, mentre con il S.O. Win98-ME non compare......

Con gli Omega (che hanno la possibilità di installarsi con un refresh fisso da 85 o 100Hz), non riesco ad installarli perchè durante l'installazione mi esce una mini-finestrella di errore (disco rosso con croce bianca..) con nulla scritto all'interno, con solo "OK" da premere

cioa ho avuto lo stesso problema! non credo che esista un programma per win98-me ! io ho risolto il problema con dei driver , esattamente gli omega

azz! non avevo notato che gia hai provato gli omega :muro:

prova magari a riprovare una versione piu vecchia dei driver!

Stesso problema dai 3.1........e gli omega non riuscivo ad installarli (croce bianca anche a me....).
Così sono passato ad XP

per gli omega prova questi 2.4.31a

sono quelli che uso io con wME e non mi danno nessun problema !!tra molti xhe ho provato , anche recenti , questi a mio parere rimangono i piu performanti , e ti risolvono il tuo problema!

Se vuoi usare i 3.2 ATi persbloccare il refresh devi usare questo nuovo trucco:

Start regedit, go to HKLM/Software/ATI Technologies/Driver/0001/DAL (or instead of 0001 whatever number your current driver uses).
Insert a new binary value, named "DALRULE_ALLOWNONDDCCRTALLMODESUPTO1600x1200". Set the value to 01 00 00 00.
Or, you could try "DALRULE_CRTSUPPORTSALLMODES" and set this to 01 00 00 00 instead. (Both work here perfectly, the difference being that one allows resolutions up to 1600x1200x200, the other 2048x1536x200.
That's it, just reboot.

IMPORTANT: you need to set the refresh rate for all resolutions you want to use manually with regedit, since the driver will likely set them to 200hz when you switch resolutions, so you won't get a picture unless your monitor can handle that. So, go to [HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Class\Display\0000 (or whatever number your monitor has)\MODES\x\y,z]. Make a new string "RefreshRate" and set it to "85" or whatever you like and your monitor can handle.
If you forget to do this you might be forced to boot in safe mode since you might get an "out of range" value by your monitor upon boot-up...
