Il nuovo KT400A non supporterà "ufficialmente" il bus a 400 dei futuri Athlon... e per giugno VIA ha già in progrmma una TERZA versione del KT400... il KT400A CE!!!

Mi vien da dire....... :eek: :eek: :eek:

Per non parlare di fix ... che secondo me non ci sono, altrimenti li avrebbero già largamente strombazzati.

Veramente nemmeno nforce2 supporta ufficialmente il bus a 400, pero' se kt400a avra i fix sono allo stesso livello di supporto.

DigiTimes nous apprends que VIA a décidé de livrer les premiers échantillons de chipset KT400A dans le courant du mois aux fabricants de cartes mères. Pour rappel, le KT400A sera en fait une "simple" révision du KT400, avec un contrôleur mémoire gérant l'ECC qui aurait été amélioré au niveau des performances et du support de la DDR400. On ne dispose pas encore de date précise en ce qui concerne la production en volume, mais celle-ci devrait être effective durant le premier trimestre afin de ne pas prendre trop de retard sur NVIDIA et SiS, qui a annoncé son 746 FX hier.



"Sample de Kt400a ce mois" e' una frase francese... significa "Campione di Kt400a questo mese" !!! :D

CE e' la revisione del chipset, CD e' il primo uscito , ma e' sempre Kt400a.

Il CE introdurra' l'FSB a 400 ufficialmente.

VIA plans to release a new chipset stepping (KT400A_CE) in about six weeks, with the new drop-in design first appearing in boards around late May / early June. CE will introduce a number of improvements, including a full set of memory dividers (allowing for asynchronous memory operation (either lower or higher speed), be optimized for running at a 400 MHz bus, and will likely offer improved DDR400 compatibility as well. Even once CE-based boards are available it'll be difficult to tell which boards use which chipset revision--unless, of course, motherboard manufacturers choose to re-issue new versions of boards barely six weeks old.
