This is Microsoft's DirectX 9.0 Software Development Kit (SDK) Update - "March 2003 Preview" (4.09.000.0900). This preview release only contains updated D3DX associated files (headers, libs, and D3DX debug dll), High-Level Shader Language Manual, and additional animations for Tiny. The next pre-release will include the Full DirectX 9.0 SDK Update files.
Microsoft DirectX 9.0 SDK Update - D3DX only
This release contains new versions of the D3DX library. The new features contained are support for shader model 2.0 with capability bits on, and new animation system updates. The support for shader model 2 allows the High-Level Shader Language (HLSL) to enable flow control via predication to reduce the amount of instructions needed to run advanced shaders.
Note This March preview release only supports Windows 2000 and Windows XP only. Windows 9x support will be available in the next beta release. Requires the Final DirectX 9.0 SDK to installed.
