Matrox g400 e Asus P4PE???

C'è una cosa che non mi è chiara, la G400 non dovrebbe funzionare sulla ASUS
in quanto la frequenza degli slot PCI è differente e si potrebbe bruciare
tutto, però.....qualcuno mi ha scritto dicendomi che a lui funziona tutto,
come è possibile questa cosa?? Grazie ciao Paolo

La G400 è PCI o AGP?
Se è Pci dovrebbe funzionare; se Agp non credo in quanto non credo supporti l'AGP 2.0.
Se inserisci una scheda AGP 1.0 nello slot AGP di una 845PE risci di bruciare scheda video e scheda madre.

Devi controllare la sigla presente sulla tua G-400, se è G4+MDH4A32G ecco cosa dice la Matrox....

la sua scheda è un modello AGP 4X e per questo motivo funziona sia a
3,3V che a 1,5V; le confermiamo quindi che la sua scheda video è compatibile con la sua scheda madre

Se nella sigla non è presente il 4A , non è AGP 4X e quindi potrebbero esserci problemi. Sul forum Matrox si legge..

Our G-400 and later graphics cards, be it AGP4x or AGP2x, are compatible with virtually all motherboards.
However, if the motherboard calls for a 1.5V card ONLY to be installed, the 2x versions of our G400 card may not work properly.

We've identified the G400 boards that support AGP 4x transfer rates with
an additional '4A' in the part number: G4+MDH4A32GB/40.

G400 boards without the '4A' in the part number will be the models that may not work with 1.5V only motherboards.

Please note that all models of the Marvel G400, G450, G450 eTV, and G550 series are not affected as an agp 2x version of these cards do not exist.
