View Full Version : URGENTE! Matlab 6.0 e Windows XP

Premetto che ho come sistema operativo Windows XP.
Ho installato MATLAB 6.0
Avvio l'esecuzione di tale programma, ma mi appare la seguente scritta:
"DESKTOP LAUNCH FAILED - Failure loading desktop class"

Cosa significa? Cosa devo fare? Pensavo fosse per la mancanza della JVM, ma non
è in quanto ho scaricato dal sito della Microsoft il file msjavx86 (che penso sia la Java Virtual Machine per XP).
Aiutatemi, in quanto ho urgenza di far partire questo programma.

Sinceramente non so se è student o professional, la versione è 6.0 e l'unica informazione aggiuntiva che ho visto è RELEASE 12.
Da dove vedo se è professional o student? Me lo hanno prestato, non è mio.

Avevo visto anche prima sulla licenza, ma non avevo trovato niente riguardo al fatto se era una versione professional o student.
Cmq credo che sia professional... :p
Se fai una prova mi fai un favore, non so come fare. Mi serve perchè ho un esame e devo usarlo...per me è XP che fa un gran casino. :muro:

....la 6.5 sono sicuro che va su xp ....la 6.0 non so prova a controllare.... :D

Problem Description

Why do I receive one of the following errors when attempting to launch MATLAB 6.0 (R12) on a computer with a Pentium 4 processor?



Failure Loading Desktop Class


or


Memory fault errors
Page fault errors
Any Dr. Watson error



Solution:

This error occurs because there is a conflict between the Windows JRE (Java Runtime Environment) and the Pentium IV processor. This has been fixed in MATLAB 6.1 (R12.1).

If you are using either the Professional or Student Version of MATLAB 6.0 (R12) please replace the current version of the JRE with a newer version of the JRE contained in the patch below.

After running the patch, MATLAB's JRE will be upgraded to JRE v1.1.8_006. This patch also includes an updated version of hg.dll, which has been known to fix MATLAB startup problems with Windows XP. You should now be able to successfully launch MATLAB.

PLEASE NOTE: The Pentium IV processor has not been tested with MATLAB 6.0 (R12).
