Queste sono le specifiche riportate dall'articolo, inoltre scriveva che era il primo drive a supportare la scrittura a 4X sia con DVD-r che DVD+r. Ma questo non è già possibile col nostro DRU 500A (dopo l'aggiornamento firmware?), anche se effettivamente sulla confezione è riportata la velocità 2X con i DVD+r.

Coyote è sempre il Sony dru500a però con il firmware 1.0f "di serie" potremmo dire ;)

Stessa meccanica, stesse prestazioni, installando il firmware 1.0f si ha quel masterizzatore.
Penso sia stata una mossa commerciale, perchè come puoi ben vedere svariati siti che vendono il sony per i dvd+r riportano la prima scritta (2.4x e non 4x) quindi penso che per non far si che il proprio prodotto sia sminuito... sony ha provveduto :)

Credo proprio tu abbia ragione. Ma l'errore a questo punto è della Sony, che sulla confezione ha scritto una velocità inferiore. Non ho mai visto una cosa del genere, di solito un produttore fa di tutto per vendere un prodotto, anche dare specifiche superiori alla realtà. Devo proprio fare i complimenti alla casa giapponese, questa volta non ha cercato di prendere per il sedere i consumatori e dopo averci venduto un prodotto con certe specifiche, ci fa il bellissimo regalo di upgradarcele senza che nessuno se lo aspettasse. Credo che sia una situazione più unica che rara.
